My Question or Issue

After the latest Spotify update my track info stopped working. Google music shows meta info fine but no go for Spotify. See image

Just fixed as was driving me nuts.

Set ACRCP to 1.3 in developer options.

I also granted Spotify more permissions for good measure.

OnePlus 5 with Android 9.

Yes, changing ACRCP to 1.3 resolves the problem for me too.

Unfortunately this also breaks Google Play Music's ability to browse playlists and music in Idrive. I don't get why Spotify has not implemented this.

Actually my fix only seems to work once...

The next time I connect, I'm back to zero track info.

Unless I delete the profile from both car and phone and re-pair using 1.3.

What a joke!

But I'm actually not quite sure where the problem is. Mercedes Bluetooth implementation, Android or Spotify. Or more likely a combination of all.

It's just such as shame that Spotify don't care as not many people are complaining about it so it never gets enough votes for one of their hipster developers to put down his/her kombucha and actually have a look a real problem.
