I don't own a PC/laptop so the desktop application is nonexistent in my case. I can perfectly play all those "local" files with either google music or the xiaomi music applications. If spotify is so dumbed down that it can't play those files I don't see the benefit in paying for the "premium" features. Perhaps you can borrow one from a friend?</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>On a computer you can import your files on Spotify desktop and access them on other devices as well.
