My Question or Issue

So, this is the second time I've had this issue. Well, no, still the first since there was no solution the first time, I just got over it. A few months ago, my Various Artists showed it was there but wouldn't load, play, display tracks. Now, since the most recent update, I have lost over a thousand songs and it won't even load the search bar so I can attempt to re-download them. I'm so frustrated because I've had Spotify for years and have a large (but nowhere near the limit) library. No one seems to have any information for me and I don't know what to do.

If this doesn't help, please let us where the songs you lost were located. We'd also like to know what it looks like when the search-bar is missing. A screenshot would be helpful 🙂

Hey, @Guido

I did the clean reinstall twice and it didn't help. I first noticed the music that disappeared in the Artists tab. There are dozens of artists missing and even where it says 'Liked Songs' it's showing about a 1,000 songs fewer than what I know I had. I can't find them anywhere. And when I go to find the ones I can remember in the Search bar it just shows a black screen. Screenshot attached.

Hey @Crain93.

We've rolled out a new Your Library. The artist section does not show all Artists stored in your library anymore. Instead it shows you a list of Artists you follow.

The Songs section on desktop or the Likes Songs playlist on mobile shows all songs stored in the library.

It's odd that Spotify shows an empty page when you look up an artist. Does this happen across all devices and does this happen as well if you have a friend or family member log into your device?

The most bizarre development/decision I've ever seen taken for a music library/player functionality. I just switched from Apple Music to Spotify within the last few days and THIS is the way you want users to access their music?
