New redesign

Hello,

I just received the new 'streamlined' library update for the android app and need some assistance.

I mostly listen to complete albums at a time and have hundreds of albums downloaded on Spotify. With the old design, I would select the artist I want to listen to and all the albums and songs I had downloaded or saved for that artist would appear. I would then start playing an album simply by selecting the first song on the album I want to listen to. How easy.

With this new design, I can no longer find my artists or albums easily. The artist tab has around 5 saved artists with many randomly organised suggestions. The albums tab is full of every album I have ever saved, making it extremely time consuming and impractical to sort through.

The worst thing seems to be finding the music I have downloaded whilst offline. If I select an artist I know I have music downloaded for, whilst offline, I just get the no internet connection message and cannot see the downloaded music.

I'm also not sure how I would find individual songs I have downloaded for an artist. For example, in the past, if I have one sing download for an artist, I would simply choose the artist from my library and the sing would be shown. Now the only way I can think to do it would be to scroll through the huge, useless playlist with all my downloads in.

I'm not sure how the designers of this update thought that this design was more intuitive and easy to use.

Is there anyway to revert to the old design? If not I will have to cancel my subscription of 9 years and use a diffeent, better thought out service.

Any feedback or advife would be appreciated.

I don't share your problem nor do i have a solution for you 😕 But i have a complaint of my own with this "Streamlined Desing" the order of my Playlists has been completely altered with the update, altrough i can still change it with the desktop app and it still shows as i had set it up on the PC the android version of my playlist tab is a complete mess. Even inside of the playlist folder has been jumbled. All that effort i had put in to create a proper profile and its gone just like that....

Before the update, I was able to listen to songs from Group Therapy seamlessly, but all my songs are jumbled up now.
