Can't log in (offline mode)

My Question or Issue

Spotify was set to "Offline Mode" in settings. Somehow I was logged out (maybe because of an update?) Now I can't log in. If I press "Log in" after entering my username and password, it opens a window that says "You are currently offline" - "Please go online to connect to Spotify". Pressing connect will simply reopen the window. This seems to correspond to this two year old issue, but I'm not completely sure.

What I tried already:

- hit cancel > delete password > re-enter pw > log in.

- removed all offline devices from my account

- disconnected all my devices from my account

I'm a bit frustrated, that this issue is ongoing for 2 years with several posts in this forum per month.

Thanks for telling us about this as well as what you have done to solve it. And sorry for the belated reply.

I'd advice you to try a clean reinstall exactly like described here.
