Songs won't change

So I got this phone earlier this year (Samsung S10+) when it first came out, all my other music playing apps work, even YouTube does, but Spotify if falling behind.

From the moment I downloaded this app on my new phone, I've had problems. I use a bluetooth device in my car that allows me to change the song from the device. On my older phones, I could click the button, and the song would change. Now, when I click the button to go to the next song, it won't change until I go to the app, open my songs up, click the song that is next, and then itll skip 2 songs. Going to the song I selected manually, and then adding on another skip from when I clicked my bluetooth device.

It also does this on my headphones and my main screen on my phone. After I click, tap, and let it skip twice, it's fine. Itll work fine after that point. I have the most recent updates installed on Spotify and my phone, so it cant be those things. Can I get some help here?
