My Question or Issue

My music and podcasts keep pausing on my phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, my software is up to date

Are you using headphones? If so, are they in good shape? Is this issue happening with any other applications? The issue could be that your phone keeps thinking your headphones are being unplugged, which causes it to pause anything playing through them

Thanks for reaching out!

We see you've already reinstalled. However, what we would recommend you to do is to run a clean reinstall. This will take care of your cache if something is wrong with it and will also help you keep your app up-to-date.

Make sure to also:

Go to Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
Go to Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.
Restart the phone.

If the issue persists after that and just so we are on the right track - does Spotify pause when the screen is locked? If not - when exactly?
