My Question or Issue

Hi,

Spotify app cannot run in last few weeks on my phone. It keeps logging in but nothing happens. It only log and work in airplane mode (offline). I tried connect to different wifi or mobile data, still the same issue. I also tried different apk versions (8.5.12.758 and newer) but problem still occurs. Issue is shown in attached video.

Please solve this issue otherwise I cannot use Spotify on my phone.

That's weird.

You different apk versions? You don't use the version from the store?

I use store version but when problem occurs I wanted to check older version
if problem disappear but it didnt.
I already found the reason. It is Google Smart Lock which stores passwords
online. I recently changed my Spotify password and Smart Lock could not log
in until I disabled Smart lock, log in to Spotify with new password and
then enable Smart lock again.

I am also having issueswith spotify on my A40. Never had an issue when I had my Sony. Now it's very slow. None responcive whn I touch the screen. Or just really,really slow. It's driving me mad.

It's only spotify which is slow? All the other apps are ok? Browsing works ok?

Yep. Only spotify. Think I might try Google music. Really fed up.

Please:

1. disconnect all of your devices for offline listening.

2. Please check this reply and follow the steps.

Note: you will have to download your music for offline listening after disconnecting the devices and reinstalling.

Hi!

Had the same issue with my A40.

The problem was: my external SD card. (Probably, because my playlists where exported on it as storage-code.)

I removed the card and everything was fine.

Thank you for your email. There have been a few updates from spotify since.
And all seems to be working now.
