Streaming only works on external speakers

The problem

When I try to play songs on my phone everything shows up as usual, but the playbar doesn't move(stuck at whatever timestamp you skip to).

What makes this problem strange is that its very circumstancial. Streaming via my data works, playing downloaded tracks works and when I switch from device with spotify connect I can even play online tracks via my own wifi. So for this problem to occur 3 conditions need to be met for some reason;

1. I need to be playing via a wifi network

2. I need to be streaming(once I download tracks magically work for some reason)

3. The audio output needs to be from my phone or a bluetooth connection to my phone(spotify connect works for some reason)

Premium for family subscribtion(connected acount, not the owner)

Device is Huawei P8 lite 2017

I live in the Netherlands

Problem suddenly started occurring while mid playlist one day around 1 week back.

Hope someone can help, cause I am out of ideas
