Lyrics blocking Spotify

My Question or Issue

The lyrics tabs is buggy as **bleep**. It pops up in front of the cover and prevent me of using the Previous/Pause/Next button, as well as the timeline bar, as well as everything.

It's really annoying. Re-installing doesn't change anything. And the option for disabling Behind the lyrics is gone (seriously ?).

Is there a solution ? Being forced to use a feature, especially one that is not working is completly nuts.

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community and welcome!

You mention you've tried reinstalling the app already. Just to confirm, did you try the steps for a thorough reinstallation from this Spotify Answer? If not, we'd suggest giving these a try as well.

If that doesn't do the trick, it'd be a good idea making sure of the below:

Your device is up to speed with any software updates
The Spotify app is on the latest version available
You've tried a soft reset of your device by turning it off, waiting for a couple of minutes and then switching it back on
There's no SD card on your device
Spotify is set as an exception for any cache clearing or battery optimization apps

If you're still having troubles, it'd be helpful if you could let us know if this persists when logging in to your account from a different device.
