When you choose Echo from the Spotify Connect menu stays stuck on connecting. Tried to unlink Spotify from Alexa app and relinking multiple times

do you have the problem with playlists too? or just with albums from the library?

I just tested it. Works if I play a track from a Playlist but not from Albums! Thanks. Now we just need to fix that part.

here the same problem is discussed - i have this problem too, but with google home and chromecast audio. it seems to be a general problem with the android app and has nothing to do with the speaker that is used.

downgrading to V8.5.18.932 helped for me.

to make sure, that you have the same type of problem, maybe you can confirm this:

can you connect to alexa if you play songs from an album in your library if you liked them before with the heart symbol?

can you connect if you play an album that is saved in your library if you start playing it from the artist site instead from the library?

Only thing that does not work is playing from Albums. However I can confirm that new update 8.5.22.734 resolved the issue. Will keep this thread updated. Thanks.

False alarm. It's still broken. Some albums work but not all.

I know. The problem disappears if you update or reinstall Spotify. Then if you open the app the first time after that, the problem is gone. But if you close the app and reopen it, the problem is back.

You can play every album - but not from your library view. Try to open an album from your library, press the three dots and choose "go to album". If you start playback from this screen, you can connect. If you skip this step an start the playback directly, you cannot connect.

That is at least my experience.

Same problem here. Germany, using Android 9, Spotify app version 8.5.31.676

Can no longer connect to any Echo device.

Same problem here in Italy. Android 9, and I can't use any Amazon echo that I have. ( Echo plus and echo spot). I tried to reset Alexa, Spotify account from Alexa, reinstall spotify from my smartphone , nothing changed. Then I can't use Spotify connect through the web app from a desktop PC.

Same problem here for so many weeks. Can not connect to Alexa, Heos or GoogleMini, when I play a saved album.

Same problem here, with an Echo and an S10
