Not connecting to Chromecast Audio

Hi there,

Since a few days I am unable to connect to my chromecast audio, despite all other audio apps (TuneIn & YT Music & Play Music) connect as usual without any hassle. All the common tricks such as, restarting App, restarting WiFi, rebooting chromecast, doesen't help here. I am using a Pixel 2XL with Android 10 and my wife who has the identical problem uses a Galaxy S7 running Android 8.

Despite the general mediocre software performance of spotify when it comes to chromecasts, I suspect this to be a bug related to the Spotify app. Is anyone experiencing similar issues?

Yes! I have the same problem. I hear the confirmation sound in my speakers when I'm trying to connect to chromecast audio from spotify, But then nothing happens. It just says connecting for a while then nothing. Must be an issue with the latest update....

Exactly, I also hear the sound but no connection is established.

Same problem with Chromecast built-in
