When you say they are being downloaded instead of streamed, do you mean that Spotify appears to be using storage space on your device?

The Spotify application on all platforms will automatically cache (temporarily store) tracks which you have recently listened to, or you listen to often in order to reduce bandwidth requirements on the network, and save on data usage for customers.

If that storage every gets too large, you can do the following to remove those temporary files on android:

Exit the Spotify app, go into your device's Settings, Apps, Spotify, then tap Clear data and Clear cache.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Have you marked those playlists for offline usage on your device?
