Plan

Spotify Premium

Country - UK

Device

Samsung Galaxy

Operating System

Windows 10

My Question or Issue

Once again my spotify downloaded tracks have been deleted after an app update.
After digging deeper it appears Spotify doesn't recognise a current offline device after an update , therefore adding the updated device as a new offline device , if you have already reached maximum offline devices then this will cause one of your current offline devices to be removed , resulting in loss of all your downloaded songs on that device.
In a nutshell spotify is obviously not recognising registered offline devices , even more problematically is the fact that premium users can't name or tag their offline devices in their online account , for example i have several devices called "Android phone & windows laptop" , the only clue we have is the "last updated" timestamp next to each offline device . I suggest keeping one free offline device just incase an app update duplicates the device , still even then if a device is duplicated as an offline device you will have one device taking up two offline devices , which one to remove is russian roulette.
