Phone updated to Android 10, now Spotify over Bluetooth issues

My Question or Issue

Had no problems on Monday, then my phone updated to 10.

Now the play/pause button on my BT headphones will not pause or resume Spotify. Connecting to my Sony XAVAX100 via Bluetooth results in Song data displaying on the stereo, but if you press play on the phone or the stereo it pauses immediately. When this is happening, the phone shows the triangle play button but the stereo shows the Pause symbol.

Additionally when I first start the app, the widget in the status bar isnt working correctly. The progress bar has no indication where you are in the song. Pressing pause and play fixes this. See screenshot.

Phone updated to Android 10, now Spotify over Bluetooth issues
