Issue: After factory restarting my android device I was no longer able to control the volume on my bluetooth device with my phone. I could only turn the volume off and on, and when i turned it on it was full blast loud.

FIX:

step 1) go to bluetooth settings (drag down top menu where wifi, volume and bluetooth quick on off is located)

step 2) select advanced settings (top right corner of slide down menu)

step 3) select dual audio control (this will turn off media volume sync if that's important to you)
