5.1 Sound on FireTV 4k

Running Spotify Premium on the FireTV Stick 4k

Hello guys! I noticed that the Spotify app only plays the songs with Stereo sound.

Is there a way to change it? Netflix or different apps on the FireTV all play on 5.1 surround. So must be an "issue" with the spotify app.

This issue still exists.

Playing Spotify via Spotify Connect to Sonos Beam - Sonos app reports Dolby 5.1

Playing Spotify via Spotify app on FireTV 4K - Sonos app reports Dolby 2.0 (and you can really notice the difference)

Other apps on the FireTV utilise all the audio channels - can you update the FireTV app to support this?

Please add Dolby Digital audio output to the Spotify app on the FireTV 4K.

The app is fine, but lacks the room-filling sound the typical 5.1 home theatre can deliver.

Do you know if this issue was solved?. Audio output still on 2 channels on the FireTV 4K.
