Random artist unfollowed

I've noticed that some artist I have followed or at least saved songs/albums from will be unfollowed. For example Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, Andre Nickatina, Conway Twitty etc. I've had this problem with two separate phones now. The LG Aristo and now the Samsung Galaxy A6. Both the same version I believe. 8.4.98.892

I will attempt to follow them again but once I close the app I guess it does it again bc when I open it back up and they're unfollowed again. I wonder how many artist I have lost bc i simply haven't saved a song/album. The saved songs/albums will still appear but I will not be following the artist. I have tried logging out and back in. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Cleaning/optimizing both phones. Deleted other apps it might interfere with. Nothing is working. Please help. This is starting to make me **bleep**. Live in Cali, US of A. I believe I have provided all the information needed to help me.

Find out if you are logging into the same account across your devices. It's very easy to create an account with us and perhaps you're logging into two different accounts.

Try logging out from all devices and log back in making sure you use the same credentials.

Nah man. It's all the same account. Like I said. I'll follow the artist. Stop using the app. Close the app. Then once I go back I see the artist I followed are unfollowed again.

It's possible that something is up with your account. Would you mind creating a new account to see if that solves the issue?

No worries, if you make sure your music collection is stored in public playlists, you can visit your old account with your new account and grab all your songs from there. You’ll be able to visit your old account by putting the following string in the search bar: spotify:user:username

Don't forget to replace username with your old username. Oh and by the way, If you want to use the same email address for your new account, you'll have to close your old account. You'll have 7 days to visit your old account and find your music there. You’ll also need to cancel your subscription on your old account, in case you have a Premium account.

Seems like this issue has been going on since 2013 .

its 3/31/20 and I still see nothing pointing to resolving the issue . I have a premium account , previously on android and now on iPhone both having the same issue . Random unfollow of certain artists . I follow the artist then if I close the app , when I reopen the artist is unfollowed . Are we ever going to get a solution to this problem ?
