Spotify Lockscreen Controls Lose Connection to Google Home

My Question or Issue

When casting to a Google Home speaker, the lock screen playback controls/song info loses connection when the phone is in standby. Have to unlock the phone, and give it a few seconds to re-establish the connection, where the Spotify notification in the shade then catches up. It gets annoying when I want to quickly skip a song on the lock screen, but as it isn't in sync it does not work. Can this please be investigated? Thanks

We're currently aware of an issue causing the behavior you describe. We suggest you go to this Ongoing Issue and add your vote to it by clicking on the +VOTE button.

Make sure you follow the steps provided under Status Update as well.

Hi, it seems that too aggressive battery saving can cause this problem.

I have found settings to exclude Spotify from battery saving measurements.

(Sorry my android devices speak German)
