My Question or Issue

After requesting a song, the song will start playing as expected, though about a second into the song the Google Assistant will say an error such as I don't know how to help with that.

This also happens when skipping the song, anyone else having this issue? Only just started and it's occurring across 5 of my devices and multiple user accounts.

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!

We'd first recommend rebooting your Google Home devices, as well as making sure that they're on the latest firmware version available to see if that does the trick.

If you're still having troubles after that, it'd be helpful if you could give us some additional details on the error you're hearing, or if this happens when using Connect to listen to your Home devices.

Thanks for the reply,

- the issue was only present when using voice commands

- all devices had been restarted to test; issue remained

- one device was factory reset to test; issue remained

After a day of doing nothing the issue was resolved without my interaction, which leads me to believe either Google or Spotify had done something on their end.

I've been having the same problem intermittently, and people on reddit are reporting the issue as well.
