topic Spotify (Android) doesn't see Chromecast (issue report and solution) in Android

I've got Google Chromecast and Yamaha RX-V685 receiver. Android Spotify device list shows the phone and receiver only. No Chromecast is seen. Why?

The answer is unexpected. I've named my Yamaha receiver "Salon" and Google Chromecast "Salon" too. Spotify somehow didn't like this. I changed Chromecast name (using Google Home app) to - guess what? - "GChC" and restarted it.

The result was: both the devices could be seen in Spotify device list.

Yamaha receiver is seen as "Spotify Connect" and Google Chromecast is seen as "Google Cast".

The conclusion is: Spotify programmers have to fix cast device recognition code.

Thank you.
