My Question or Issue

Hi,

so whenever I try to open an artist, everything is blacked out with the placeholder picture and everything. I cannot choose anything from discography or songs or whatever.

It happens only on my phone - web and the phone of my boyfriend (same Wifi) doesn't show any problems.

The battery settings have spotify on allow everything so it doesn't get shut down.

App is in online mode

I cleared my data, my cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted the phone.

After reinstalling it helps for about half an hour, then the same issue starts again. The app is unusable this way. I cannot open the settings unless I clear the cache.

Note: Both smartphones (boyfriends and mine) have the exact same settings and are connected to the same wifi - the issue happens with LTE as well, so this shoulnd't be a problem anyway.

I am VERY frustrated with this issue right now, it's for a few weeks now and I don't find any solution.

Can you let us know if this happens only when you open an artist's page, or do you experience it with playlists as well?

We'll also need to know your Spotify version and if this happens when you put the app in offline mode.

Thanks for the reply.
My Spotify version is 8.5. 60.1013

Playlist are not affected, only artists are not loading at all (no single,
album, discography)

When I am in offline mode I cannot access anything, not even the settings
to deactivate the offline mode again.

Since i did yesterday an android update the Spotify app is not starting.

I quit instantly after start.

I uninstalled Spotify and installed it again but without success.

Android Version 10

One UI_version 2.1

Spotify Version 8.5.62.904

Also not working, tried fresh reinstall, delete any folders, cache to SD card.

huawei m5 on android 8.0.0

app version .5.62.904

Listening to podcast press play and it pauses for 2 secs and restarts app!

Edit

To get it working now I force stop and clear data and clearing just cache doesn't help.

Just to check if still working prior to edit this message now I go only play 1 secs worth of play and it stops.
