Albums Won't Play

My Question or Issue

I can no longer listen to my downloaded albums offline while using Spotify Premium. I have no issues with my playlists, only the albums. When I try to play an album, I get a message saying "Something went wrong". Spotify also randomly stops while playing music. this happens on my Samsung galaxy s6. I have tried uninstalling the app, updating the app,turning down the streaming quality, logging out on all of my devices, clearing the cache. I have plenty of storage/memory available. Any thoughts?

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

If you're using an SD card with your phone, you might need to format it and then reinstall Spotify. Also, if you're using one, make sure it's not formatted as "Internal" memory since formatting an SD Card to be used as Internal memory (called "Adoptable Storage") creates issues with the Spotify cache and downloads.

If you're not using and SD card or turns out the suggestions don't help, would you mind letting us know your Spotify and operating system version?

Also, it'd be helpful to confirm that the Spotify app has all the required permissions on your phone and is white-listed for any battery-saver or cache-cleaner apps or tools.

Hi. I don't have an sd card for my phone. Spotify is version 8.5.63941. My phone is running Android 7.0. This issue began about 2 months ago. everything was fine before that.
