Playlist covers are not cropped in Android Auto

My Question or Issue:

I have taken the time to add cover art for all my playlists, and it's looking pretty sweet on the phone and on desktop ~ but in the car using android auto & spotify the covers aren't always square - some are a rectangular. Nightmare.

Covers that I was lazy and just dropped a photo onto are displayed as a rectangle. Ones that I cropped to square myself are shown as a square.

I thought Spotify was cropping images when I uploaded them, but it seems that they're not. This seems like a bug, just hoping some ace dev can pick this up and fix it so images in Android Auto - Spotify are always displayed as squares.

Apologies for the delayed response, we just came across this thread.

As we haven’t seen any similar posts about this recently, could you let us know if you’re still having troubles with this?

If you are, can you let us know if you've already tried to log out > restart your device > log back in?

Screenshots of what you see will be very helpful to our investigation as well.
