My Question or Issue

How do you get podcasts to pop out so that when you hit the home button on Android, the video continues in a pop out window and will play on top of the phones background?

If this isn't a feature like YouTube has, it needs to be for Spotify to expand their video capability.

Also, horizontal videos are not full screen or high Def. Why!?

Currently there is no option for podcasts to appear in a pop up window while the app is minimized. The audio should still run in the background without problem.

About your second concern - when you flip your phone to landscape mode you should get a full screen video. If your video is cropped this might be due to your phone's screen size or display settings. Since Spotify is predominately a music streaming and not a video streaming app, full HD video for podcasts is not something a lot of users request. Furthermore this feature is fairly new on the platform so it's still in development and will most likely get improved in the future. This is why we value your opinion.

I think they should do this on desktop too because of the same reasons
