My Question or Issue

The wrong song is displayed for the song playing. The progress bar is locked and the incorrect album art is also displayed. I have cleared the cache and completed a clean reinstall to no avail. I am not using a smart watch like many of the other people experiencing this issue. The drop down quick controls are not present on the screen. This is very frustrating and the problem appears to have been going on a for a very long time based on the number of unresolved posts created. Has there been any new guidance on this crippling issue?
