Spotify connect - volume issues

I have always had issues with spotifys volume. The issue is how quickly it turns from 0 to full. My mother realized it tonight when she connected and turned it up and it just cracked to full on my home theater system and blew my $1000 amp. How does this thing not have a limit to force you to manually click the volume up vs holding it and allowing it to reach the max in less than 2 seconds. Especially when half to time you may connect accidentally to the wrong speaker, I find this crazy that there has been no fix or adjustment to this...
