My Question or Issue

So frustrated with this. COME ON SPOTIFY GET IT TOGETHER!

How to disable notification interruptions while listening to Spotify? There should be an easy way to disable notifications from interrupting my music enjoyment. I have unchecked all notifications in the menu and I'm still getting interrupted. Frustrated to the point that I'm about to stop using Spotify.

Apologies for the delayed reply, we've just come across this thread.

Currently there is no option to give the Spotify app a top priority so you won't receive any notifications while music is playing.

What you can do is disable sound and vibration notifications from your messaging apps. This is the only current workaround.

If you'd like to see a change in the app, we recommend you go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented

Sorry but the silence/vibration option isn't a solution, even with that modes

enabled the spotify song loses volume when you get a notification. Can't believe 3 years have passed and still no solution.
