Spotify keeps pausing on Google Pixel 3a

For the last month my Spotify keeps pausing when I attempt to listen to music. I have looked at battery optimization, reset my password, ensured my account was up to date, reinstalled the app on my phone, logged out everywhere,etc... I press play and with a minute to 5 minutes it stops and I have to push okay again! What to do???

You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

Also - could you let us know if it happens over both WiFi and 3/4G, or only on one connection type?

On another note, we suggest that you try logging in to the app on a different device to check if the issue persists.

I have a very similar problem, but on a Lenovo Smart Clock.
Generally, Spotify casting is extremely buggy.

PS: It seems to be some kind of buffering issue. (I see the loading animation on my Nest Hub when the Smart Clock ist pausing)

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Can you give us more info on your set up? How exactly are you connected to the Lenovo smart clock and is playback pausing only when you're streaming to the clock or even when you're listening to music regularly on your phone.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
