Got it. You see sometimes when the SD card is being used, it creates the problem from it's rw speed. Good speed SD cards are therefore needed. You can see it while copying or moving files to or from your card. You can move your Spotify to your device from settings-bottom-storage-select device storage. It solves the problem.

Do mark this answer as solution, thanks. Glad you asked.

Plan

Premium (Duo)

Country

Spain

Device

Motorola Moto E4 Plus

Operating System

Android Nougat (7.1.1)

My Question or Issue

So Spotify works fine on my computer but not on my phone. When I open the Spotify app on my phone, the homepage loads fine. I can scroll down and the different sections load with images. I can go to a playlist or radio but when I tap on a song (or shuffle play or whatever), the song appears on the player but nothing happens. I can even syncing it with my computer so it can play o my computer. If I tap on an artist or album, the "Sorry, something went wrong. That didn't work. Please have another go." error pops up. I can't play anything on my phone.

I've already tried the clean uninstall that has been recommended, the one where you also clean com.spotify.music and restart your phone, and it didn't work.

I should note that I am not currently using a SIM card and only connecting through WiFi. WiFi functions fine, my computer can connect to Spotify. I've tried getting a working SIM card on my phone but, alas, Spotify would not work.

Yes, I am using an SD card. If, by chance, you're asking to know if I deleted the com.spotify.music folder in the SD card, I have but nothing has change.
