Data Usage/Playing on Device Other Devices

I have the Spotify App on my phone and am playing from a downloaded playlist(s). When I choose to play music to a different device (i.e. echodot, soundbar) does this use data? I tried to utilize the "Offline Mode" but then I cannot play to the other devices it will only play on my phone.

I just want to make sure that I am not using any extra data.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out about this!

If you want to listen to music without internet connection it's important that you download your songs first and enable the Offline mode. This way you'll avoid data usage.

In case that you want to listen to music on other devices with Bluetooth connection, it'd possible using Offline mode. However, if your devices are using the Connect feature, it's necessary that both devices are online and connected to the same WiFi network.
