So I recently got a pair of Samsung's Galaxy Buds Pro to use with my Galaxy S20+, and I am having a problem with Spotify that I cannot find a solution to.

Problem:
Even if I close the Spotify app from my Galaxy S20's task manager so that it is no longer running in the background, it will still start playing music if I accidentally tap my Buds Pro. While my phone's task manager says that Spotify is not running, if I swipe down from the top of my phone to use the control center and press "media", I can see that Spotify is still indeed running and ready to resume playing music. I have also tried force stopping Spotify from my phone's system settings but that makes no difference. This is a pain because if I'm adjusting my Buds Pro in my ears I can often accidentally tap them and even though Spotify is not supposed to be running, it resumes my music when I don't want it to.

Here is a link to two screenshots to help visualize the problem:
http://imgur.com/gallery/Dll4ShY

Plan

Premium

Country

United States of America

Device

Samsung Galaxy S20+

Operating System

Android 11, One UI 3.0

Hi there @VoodooEagle,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Currently there is no option in the app itself which allows you to set up controls for various Bluetooth devices.

We'd recommend you reach out to the Support team from Samsung for more info on how on this.

Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
