[Android] App and music freezing

My Question or Issue

Music is freezing constantly. Very repeatable when turning screen off. It's not battery optimization as I've turned that off for the app and for the entire phone. I also think it's an application issue because the Android system error comes up telling me Spotify is unresponsive and asks if I could like to close the app, wait, or send a report.

Try to increase bufer size in settings.

Hi @dianagreece, I don't see any option for increasing the buffer size in the settings.

Do you know where it may be? I'm definitely open to trying this, but my gut feeling is that it's not a buffering issue

Hey @Simplyandyg,

We'd recommend you try running a clean reinstall of the app, following the exact steps from this Guide.

Also, make sure Spotify is granted all Permissions in the app settings on your phone.

Let us know if this issue persists after that.
