I constantly have multiple players in my notifications and when i try to force stop or swipe them away they just come back

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you provide us a screenshot so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?

After doing a clean reinstall sadly the four players are still there

Thanks for getting back to us 🙂

In case you're using an SD card, you can try removing it, reinstall Spotify and then try running the app without the SD. Does this make a difference?

In case nothing changes, could you share with us a screenshot of what you're seeing? You can attach the image to your next response using the Insert Photos option in the post editor. We'll look into this further.

I've been having the same issue, and it's now reached 5 players (in the first attachment) that won't go away even when swiping or trying to remove them manually (in the second attachment, pressing the remove button does nothing).

Edit: forgot to mention that I have cleaned the cache and done a full reinstall, neither of which worked.

Would you mind letting us know your device's make, model, OS version and the Spotify version you're currently running?

Also, just to confirm, are these five different Spotify players or do they show the same info?

Please point me in the right direction if I get this information wrong, but I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android version 11, and I am on Spotify version 8.6.32.925

And yes, the different players all show different songs. I noticed as well that trying to interact with them just closes the notification screen, instead of taking me to Spotify.

Hey folks,

Could you try disabling any Notifications for Spotify, and making sure that Battery optimization is switched OFF.

Let us know if that had any effect.
