Song plays for a few seconds, then changes

My Question or Issue

Yesterday when I tried to play a song, it just skipped around the list without actually playing anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Now, when I play a song, whether it's via my phone or via my google assistant, it plays a few seconds of the song, then switches to a completely different song.

The songs it changes to are utter garbage IMO, tastes differ of course. But it is playing the commercial garbage from today, where I rarely listen to anything newer than 20 years old.

Hope someone can help here.
