My Question or Issue

Using free Spotify on my laptop or tablet I can use shuffle and repeat on my personal playlists.

In the app on my phone, the shuffle and repeat buttons are gone.

I checked the free account features on the site and I should be able to use the shuffle and repeat function.

Also on the playing now screen and the more (3 dots) screen, the buttons aren't shown.

i have the same issue on my Pixel 5. Songs are shuffling but i do NOT want them to and i cannot turn the shuffle of from my phone anymore. The shuffle control is not showing at all, so it is not an option on my phone anymore.

Super frustrating

also, what does the Play button with the small shuffle icon in it mean? is it a control? or just info?

What you both expressing is expected behavior.

The only playing option while being on your mobile phone is shuffle mode. The shuffle and repeat buttons for Discover Weekly playlist are in the 3dots menu (Premium only).

i have premium so this is NOT expected for me.

Funny though, the features are back. Maybe an account type sync issue or some features regressed on an update.
