Can't play downloaded podcasts in airplane mode

In preparation for a long plane trip, I downloaded both music playlists and podcasts. When in airplane mode, I had no problem playing the music playlists but I was unable to play to podcasts. Well, I was able to play about half of one podcast before it stopped. Here are my details:

Plan: Premium

County US

Device: Samsung Galaxy S20

Hey there! Thanks for asking in the community. Here are the steps I suggest:

Go ahead and contact the support team, ask them to 'reset your account's cache'
Once that is done, go ahead and perform a clean install of your Spotify Apps*
Log in and you should be good to go, the issue would be fixed

*you will need to redownload your offline content on all devices
