Hi,

The progress bar/player thing no longer appears in my app I can still play aos, but I've got no wat of seeing what's actually playing, fast forwarding/rewinding and the only way I cam stop it playing is to close the app.

It's been going on a while, I've tried clearing the cache and logging of and on again (did nothing), the only thing that remotely works is a full delete-reinstall, but even this one works for a few hours, then it reverts to not displaying

Any thoughts?

Thanks for sharing this with the Community and nice troubleshooting so far!

Could you let us know since when the issue persists and what mobile platform you're using?

Additionally, check the make and model of your device, check for existing OS updates and whether you have enough storage on your device.
Low physical storage / low RAM could be causing such an issue.

Testing this with another device could definitely shed more light to this.
A screenshot is also always greatly appreciated 🙂

I've the same issue, on Android 11

One plus 7t 8 go ram

60go+ of free rom storage

The music still plays but I cant see even the notification to change music

Wasn't the original poster, but sharing info on what I've experienced.

This issue started for me on a Galaxy Note 10+ on Android version 12. I have the majority of storage on my phone available. This occurs on the Spotify version that released April 5th - this never happened before that.

It happens when I select a song to play in the app. Once the song is playing, the player doesn't show up within the app. If I shut down the Spotify app and re-enter, the player will show again with the song selected before - only paused. The song playing also doesn't show when outside of the app (on the home screen), but shows once completely exiting and re-entering Spotify again.

Here a screenshot, the music is actually playing. This happens every 2 time I open thé spotify app with the music playing

I am also having the same problem. Redmi 9S. I have to clear all the apps (even if it's just Spotify that's running in the background) and open it again to see the player and when I try and play the next song, the player disappears and I have to close and open the app again.
