Stopping Autoplay From Bluetooth Connection

My Question or Issue

Only recently, not until now, when I connect my earbuds to my phone Spotify starts playing and then I also can't swipe away the notification in the swipe down area. Spotify swipes away but it comes right back. I don't want to hear anything from Spotify unless I open the app and hit play. I would say this is a recent bug. Ideas?

Can you let us know if music starts playing automatically when you connect your headphones, even without opening the Spotify app from the icon?

It would also be helpful if you attach a screenshot of this notification that you're talking about. This will help us better understand what's happening on your end.

Yes, it does but another user figured this out already. The touch controls
were enabled on the earbuds and that's what was causing it when putting
them in my ears. Seems to be a Google thing as other earbuds I have with
touch controls don't do that. I turned the touch controls off.
