My Question or Issue

Android auto is not functioning anymore. I've tried all the tips I've found and don't seem to be working. I can play music through my phone but don't have the controls in the vehicle. Everytime I just get "Spotify doesn't appear to be working" or something like that can't remeber the exact phrase

Spotify plays music but shows error Message when trying to open it on the car's infotainment over wireless Android Auto. Changing track works sometimes. Information system is from a VW ID

Could you share a picture / video with us which shows how things look on your end? If you haven't already, try the following:

Disconnect your phone from your car.
Go to your phone's settings > Apps > Spotify and Force stop the application.
Reconnect your phone to the car and launch Spotify.

If the issue persists, try rebooting your device to see if that does the trick.
