Spotify doesnt automatically plan in the car

When my phone connects to my car, Spotify used to automatically play. It hasnt done it now for the last 6 months and its across 3 different cars, so isnt the car. Does anyone have the answer?

Hi @Gemmaallen87!

Could you let us know the following:

Your device's make, model and OS version.
The version of Spotify you're running.

If you're on Android, you can check if Automatically resume media is toggled on in Android Auto's settings. Make also sure that you don't have any battery optimization for Spotify as it may hinder the app's performance.

Hi,

Its a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and my previous device Samsung S21+ didnt play automatically either.

Im on Android 12 and Spotify version 8.7.24.1111

To keep investigating this issue, could you confirm if you have the options set as mentioned by @Yordan previously?

If so, would you mind confirming if the connection between your mobile device and your car is via Connect (WiFi), Bluetooth or with an AUX cable? This will give us a better look at your issue.
