My Question or Issue

Hello,

since approx. 10 days now (~May 20th), my alarms set up in Google Clock do not play songs I configured from Spotify. Instead they play a standard ringtone.

This used to be working very well since years.

Also if I try to set up a new alarm and choose Spotify as sound, the Clock App tells me 'Impossible to connect to Spotify, Retry later'.

Of course, the Spotify app itself works perfectly fine.

Happens on the 2 Androids I have.

(Note: I already had issues in the past, and it was worse because Google Clock did not even fall back to the standard ringtones ... so at least today I do not miss my morning alarms 😊 )

Any idea ?

Well, after updating Spotify App to 8.7.36.905 the issue is solved.
