Keep widget permanently on lock screen

My Question or Issue

Is it possible to have the widget permanently on the lock screen? If I pause my music for a while it would be nice to press play again without having to unlock my phone and go to the Spotify app. I end up doing it many times throughout the day and it gets annoying. I have no idea if something like this is even possible, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.

Currently, the widget will disappear from the lock screen after several minutes of inactivity.

I've had this issue for some time now on my Samsung S21 and now my S22.

Each time I pause my music using the lock screen, the Spotify controls widget disappears. To fix, ensure the phone isn't closing the Spotify app to save battery:

Open Settings and click on the following:
- 'Battery and device care'

- 'Battery'

- 'Background useage limits'

- 'Never sleeping apps'

- '+'

- 'Spotify'

Spotify doesn't appear in that list on my s21 running one ui 5🥹 Any fixes? I tried clearing spotify's cache memory and re-opening spotify.
