Spotify not opening

My Question or Issue

I tried changing my download storage from internal to the sd card. But then spotify restarted and only stayed on a black loading screen with the logo. I tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app (with and without the sd card inserted in my phone), downloading an older version and doing a clean install but nothing worked.

Every time I try to open the app, I just get a black screen with the logo and nothing happens until my phone turns off.

Spotify still works on my PC and my phone has enough storage.

Hey @F32,

Thanks for posting in the Community and the troubleshooting you've already tried.

We advise you not to use older versions of the app, because their functionality can't be guaranteed.

Is the SD card still inserted in the phone during the clean reinstall? Could you try it once more without the SD card? Here are the exact steps.

Also make sure to have formatted the SD card thoroughly.
