Using HK One speakers

Hi everyone,

I am a newby but a question about a premium account (Adroid 12 / HK one speaker).

When I choose Select a device (to stream the music to) I choose my HK one speaker. But suddenly almost all account settings are turned into grey, are not usable and have Not available at the moment (Play options / Social options / Audio quality / Video quality)
Is this normal?

I also tried this on other Android devices and other speakers.

So this (for instance) would mean, that I never can stream a mix (auto mix, no pauzing after tracks) to a speaker?

I know all settings will remain available when I 'stream' using blue tooth, but (compaired to 'normal' streaming) blue tooth has a dramatic sound quality.

Can some one help me out plz?

We can confirm this is an expected behavior. When you connect your phone to a Bluetooth device via Connect, you won't be able to change the settings on your phone, as it's not the phone itself the device playing the music. We really appreciate the time you took to write to us.

Thanks for your quick response and info!

So this mean I can never play a mix(ed 'CD') using an external speaker (like a HK one) using Spotify connect without the pauses between the mixed tracks?

Besides doing this using blue tooth, is there another option to play a mix(ed 'CD') to my HK one without the pauses between the mixed tracks?

Hi @CoolCo!

You can still do that with your Bluetooth speaker, just make sure the following features found in the app's Settings are turned on before connecting to it:

Automix
Gapless playback, or Crossfade - simply adjust to the preferred length
