Bluetooth Streaming Issue

My Question or Issue

Being a senior, I only use my cellphone when I leave the house. My car has a new JVC Radio with Bluetooth Streaming and Full Control for both Spotify and Pandora. The Pandora App has an advanced setting for Bluetooth Devices called "Launch from Car". With this enabled I can access Pandora from my car radio without starting the app on my phone first. I don't see that setting on Spotify. I have to start the Spotify App first before I can stream to my car radio.

Also, if I do start the Spotify App first and start streaming to my car radio, I cannot switch back and forth between the 2 Apps.

Any help would be appreciated

I guess this thread can be marked closed, since no one in the Spotify community knows if and when the "Launch from Car" option will be added to the app's settings.

In this case, you can give a try to Android Auto. With Spotify in Android Auto, you can:

Listen to albums, artists, songs, and playlists from Your Library
Play Spotify Radio
Browse new releases

To use Spotify on Android Auto, you have to install both of the apps on your mobile device. Then you can go to set up Spotify in Android Auto to listen to music. You can read more about this here.

Hello @GlennWatkins2 -- IMO you are victim of Spotify abandoning Spotify remote over Bluetooth early spring 2022.

The last release of Spotify suporting BT remote control is 8.6.98.900

Unfortunately not available at the rather trustworthy apkpure site (where I got my copy) anymore.
