Hi,

I am trying to help my retired neighbour with his phone. Due to service the phone is missing some of the apps he used to have and he does at the moment not have his account-info for google, i.e. no access to google market.

I thought that it was possible to download spotify from www.spotify.se and install, so he can listen to music already before getting new google-accounts!?!? But when logging on there is only some flash graphic intended for newcomers where you can try spotify premium for free 30 days. No download options or menus...

He has a premium subscription at spotify.

Please advise how to proceed. Thanks.

Hey!

Did you try going to m.spotify.com on the phone's browser? I think there's an option to download the app manually without the google play store. At least on my tablet it works that way. 😉

The direct link is this: http://download.spotify.com/android/SpotifyAndroid.apk

However, that may be the old one, as someone has reported I believe.

The OP does not have access to the play store. If they did, they could just download it from there.
