the mobile app get stuck on a gray screen upon login

i have more than enough space for the app on my phone, but every time i try to log into my account, it gets stuck on a gray screen and wont go past it. i have tried reinstalling, cache clearing, and phone resets, yet nothing helps.

We see you've tried a lot of troubleshooting steps already, so kudos for that! As a next step, can you please ask someone to try to log into their account on your device? Also, please send us its model and OS version.

The login only works with the facebook app... I had the same problem as op and I installed the app just for this, then I removed it, because I dont use it.

We understand you've already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article? They are more thorough than a regular one. That way you can make sure the cache is not causing this issue.

If the issue persists, could you include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running? This will give us a better look at the issue.
