Local files not working after reinstall.

Reinstalled spotify to try and fix another issue and no local mp3 files are no longer detected or playing. Local files folder is empty but the files are definitly there on my file explorer and marked as audio. Also didnt detect the system auido files which it usually did in the past.

They were working fine (except for the old bug where they randomly grey out sometimes) yesterday.

I tried copying the files into the music folder on my phone again and I can open them with the other sound apps. When I try to open them to spotify that single track will appear but will be unplayable. Spotify has all the permissions turned on for it.

tried restarting, logging off and clearing cache.

Sorry to solve my own issue but

I figured it out

Android now breaks apart photo and video and audio permissions but spotify current isnt compatibile with this so it only auto prompts the audio permissions but actual needs both since it wants simple "files" permission.

Giving it permissions to images and videos manually as well fixed the problem.
