&lt;P&gt;The behavior you mentioned is expected when playback comes from another device. On our support site, there's an article called&lt;A href="https://support.spotify.com/us/article/tracks-transitions/" target="_blank"&gt; &lt;U&gt;Track Transitions&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/A&gt; that covers Automix and Crossfade options. There, the note mentions that those options are not available when using the Connect feature.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>I'm using Spotify on Amazon Alexa. Crossfade only works on my phone but not on my Alexa. I already did a reset and connected it again. But it still won't work</description>
